Since its inception, CVI has adapted and innovated to meet growing and evolving needs. Today, our work is more urgent than ever as hundreds of thousands of people throughout metro Atlanta and Georgia are living with vision impairment, a number which is growing alongside a sharp rise in chronic illnesses and a rapidly aging population. For over 60 years, CVI has been a trusted friend and partner to people facing the challenges and barriers of limited or no sight.
On Giving Tuesday, a global movement that encourages people to share their generosity, you can make a life-changing impact. We ask that you consider making a gift on or before Giving Tuesday, November 28th.
The kindness and generosity of donors will support vision rehabilitation services for seniors, adults, and families. With your support, CVI can help people with vision loss receive:
- Low vision exams, occupational therapy, and assistive devices.
- Emotional and psychological support that can make it easier to adjust to their vision loss.
- Training to use a white cane, prepare meals, travel on public transit, or use smartphone technology.
- Financial assistance so that everyone who needs us can access care regardless of their ability to pay for services.
We are now serving twice as many people in our low vision clinic as in 2019, due to donors’ generosity. This Giving Tuesday, we ask you to get involved. Please consider making your own gift and then we ask that you share our mission with your community to encourage their support of CVI. This fall, every new gift in any amount will have a huge impact. A local anonymous foundation will grant $30,000 to CVI when we raise that same amount in new gifts!
Thanks for your support of CVI!
