Position Summary: CVI is seeking a highly organized, proactive Executive Assistant & Board Liaison to support the President & CEO and ensure strong coordination across CVI’s governance and leadership activities. This role supports executive operations, multiple boards, committees, task forces, and an advisory council, while helping drive follow through on priorities, meetings, and commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support
- Manage the CEO’s calendar, scheduling, and meeting logistics
- Prepare agendas, briefing materials, reports, and follow up items
- Help prioritize requests and commitments
- Track action items and ensure timely follow through
- Draft and edit correspondence, presentations, and documents
- Handle confidential information with discretion
- Manage data for reporting
Board & Governance Support
- Serve as liaison to the CVI Board, CVI Foundation Board, committees, task forces, and Advisory Council
- Schedule quarterly board and committee meetings
- Prepare and distribute board materials and packets
- Record and maintain accurate meeting minutes
- Support board onboarding and ongoing engagement
- Maintain organized governance records and documentation
Fundraising & External Support
- Support CEO led fundraising and donor engagement activities
- Prepare materials and logistics for donor and foundation meetings
- Coordinate donor correspondence in coordination with development team
- Track follow up related to fundraising efforts
Organizational Support
- Serve as an in office connector supporting collaboration and culture
- Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes
Qualifications
Required
- 1-3+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant or administrative professional
- Exceptional organization, communication, and follow through skills
- High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred
- Experience supporting senior executives and working with boards or committees
- Experience in nonprofit or healthcare environments
- Familiarity with nonprofit governance or fundraising
Work Environment
- Occasional evening or early morning hours

Position Title: Optometrist – Low Vision Rehabilitation Services

The Center for the Visually Impaired (CVI) is seeking compassionate, patient-centered optometrists to join our interdisciplinary Low Vision Clinic team, primarily serving satellite clinic locations throughout the Atlanta area.

CVI optometrists work closely with occupational therapists and rehabilitation professionals to help individuals with vision loss maximize independence and quality of life through low vision evaluations, assistive devices, and rehabilitation strategies.

The Center for the Visually Impaired (CVI) in Atlanta, GA is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary vision rehabilitation team. This position provides low-vision evaluations and rehabilitative services to individuals with vision loss, supporting independence, safety, and quality of life.
Low-vision experience is not required — we provide specialized training and mentorship. If you are passionate about patient-centered care and interested in developing expertise in low-vision rehabilitation, we welcome your application.
Advanced certification in low vision (e.g., SCLV, CLVT, ACVREP) is a strong bonus but not required. We support professional development toward advanced credentials.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct low-vision evaluations and collaborate on treatment plans
Provide services at CVI Midtown and satellite clinics; occasional home/community visits
Train clients in compensatory strategies, ADLs, and use of optical/non-optical devices
Educate clients and families on resources and adaptive techniques
Collaborate with Low Vision Optometrists, OTs, COTAs, VRTs, and O&M Specialists
Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation, scheduling, and billing
Uphold HIPAA standards and comply with federal and state regulations
Participate in case review meetings, internal trainings, and continuing education
Assist clients with obtaining recommended equipment through CVI’s Visibility Store
Support and help supervise OT fieldwork students and COTAs (as applicable)
Qualifications
ACOTE-accredited OT degree
Current Georgia OT license & NBCOT certification
Minimum 1 year of clinical OT experience – (New grads with strong interest in low vision rehabilitation may be considered)
Current CPR certification & malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and documentation skills
Compassion for individuals experiencing vision loss
HIPAA compliance and adherence to clinical practice standards required
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

The Center for the Visually Impaired (CVI) in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for Center for the Visually Impaired and it’s Low Vision Clinic and Vision Rehabilitation programs for adults. This is an exciting opportunity to serve individuals with vision loss so they may achieve independence, pursue their goals, and enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Assist occupational therapy clients by providing rehabilitative services to people with low vision impairments.
Provide services under the direction of licensed occupational therapists.
Verify client information by interviewing clients, collecting, assessing, and recording required patient information such as medical history and confirming purpose of treatment.
Assist clients in improving their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations such as teaching individuals with low vision, visual impairment, or blindness to complete activities of daily living and other activities to improve their level of independence.
Implement treatment plans and help patients perform therapeutic activities developed in collaboration with occupational therapists by teaching and strategies.
Instruct patients and their families in the skills and techniques of a treatment program.
Monitor patients’ performance to make sure they are performed correctly provides encouragement, bringing treatment that is not having the intended effect to the attention of the therapist.
Document patients’ progress, attitudes and behaviors.
Maintain occupational therapy accurate patient records by recording patient’s progress for use by the occupational therapist.
Generate revenue by recording billing information of services rendered.
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt of items. Keep equipment operating by following operating procedures, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
Serve and protect occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state and local requirements.
Enhance occupational therapy practice and CVI’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Attend meetings to review treatments and patient progress.
Participate in continuing education classes and staff training.
Qualifications
Graduated from an ACOTE accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
Current License or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Georgia and national certification.
Current CPR certification.
Current malpractice insurance.
Good working knowledge of occupational therapy practices, procedures, and legal regulations.
