Annual Giving
Did you know that only approximately 1/3 of CVI’s program funding comes from the government? That means 2/3 of the services provided at CVI are funded by private sources and donations from friends like you.
By making an annual gift, you can help ensure that everyone in need – from newborns to great-grandparents – receives the education, support and tools they need to live their lives with independence and dignity.
Here are the ways that you can make your gift:
- Online: You can donate safely and securely at Donate to CVI
- By mail: Send a check (payable to CVI) to Center for the Visually Impaired, Development Department, 739 West Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308.
- By phone: Call the Development Department at 404-602-4276.
Here’s how your gift can help:
$50 could… Help a senior read mail, pay bills and manage prescriptions using a 3.5x illuminated handheld magnifier.
$100 could… Send a high school student to the STARS annual spring retreat.
$250 could… Provide four hours of education and counseling to help manage diabetes with vision loss.
$500 could… Purchase a new iPad for use in the BEGIN classroom, synced with Braille writers and readers.
$1000 could… Expand employment opportunities for an adult through 15 hours of accessible computer instruction.
