1. Greeter in the Florence Maxwell Low Vision Clinic

Greeters provide a warm, welcoming voice to clinic clients and help guide them throughout the building. CVI will provide training in acting as a human guide and HIPAA regulations. Additionally, Greeters may assist clients with paperwork upon their arrival, make appointment confirmation calls, and help with other administrative tasks as needed. Volunteers are needed in the clinic three to four days per week and hours are generally 8:00am-3:30pm.

2. Client Survey Volunteer

This volunteer helps CVI understand how clients feel about their experience with our services. The client survey volunteer will call a pre-assigned list of recent clients to conduct a phone survey about the services they received in the clinic and adult rehabilitation. Volunteers will receive training to understand how the survey questions relate to our services and how to navigate the portal to submit survey responses. This position is best for someone with excellent customer service skills and who can be warm and patient with our clients. This is an onsite opportunity.

3. Intake and Resource Volunteer

CVI is seeking sighted volunteers to assist clients with intake and resource paperwork. Volunteers can expect to assist with required paperwork prior to a low vision evaluation, which is filled out on paper or iPads. Knowledge of using Apple products is required. Additionally, volunteers will assist occupational therapists (OTs) by helping clients fill in resource forms. These include but are not limited to MARTA Mobility services, the Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, accessible Bibles, etc. This is a great opportunity for face-to-face client interaction and to learn about available resources for the visually impaired.
