Henderson Society
The Henderson Society celebrates the vision of CVI’s founders, George and Jean Henderson.
Together with a group of parents of visually impaired children, the Hendersons wanted their daughter Anne – who was blind from birth – to have every chance to reach her full potential in life. They sought specialized training for their children in orientation and mobility, advanced communication, and daily living skills, forming the organization now known as the Center for the Visually Impaired. Since 1962, the agency has grown into Georgia’s largest comprehensive, fully accredited, private organization serving visually impaired individuals of all ages.
George and Jean Henderson certainly left the world a better place. Become a part of this great legacy by joining the Henderson Society with a gift of $1,500 or more between January 1 and December 31. Your cumulative donation can include matching gifts, United Way designated donations, restricted and unrestricted gifts.
