“When my son comes here, the focus is not on what he can or can’t see; it’s about developing him as a person and celebrating all that he is.” – Lisa Arsenault, Parent at CVI

August is back-to-school season, and the Center for the Visually Impaired (CVI) stands ready to support students, families, and schools in our community. We are proud to lead the way in low vision rehabilitation for children and youth through our specialized pediatric clinics, serving children aged 3 and up.

Families like Lisa Arsenault’s have found invaluable support here. With CVI’s resources, Lisa was able to secure the assistance her son, Elie, needed to confidently start kindergarten. Our programs not only aim to enhance vital skills but also cultivate a nurturing community for families. Children and their families engage in meaningful learning experiences, form lasting friendships, and build essential life skills. Additionally, parents receive practical tools and insights to support their child’s ongoing development.

Low Vision Pediatric Services We Offer:

  • Pediatric Low Vision Exams and Occupational Therapy for ages 3 and up
  • Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for School-Age Children
  • Orientation & Mobility Training

Lisa says “Eli is loving working alongside his sighted peers, and he is thriving in every sense of the word!  The CVI services made this journey possible.” We invite you to listen to Lisa’s inspiring testimony.
