Atlanta's Center for the Visually Impaired
Raises Over $130,000 at "True Blue Do"

CVI held their 6th annual "True Blue Do" event on May 7, 2009 at Opera in Midtown Atlanta, raising over $130,000 to benefit CVI's comprehensive programs and services for Georgians of all ages who are blind or visually impaired.

This year's fundraiser included a special performance by  the "Macular Degenerates," the house band of Eye Consultants of Atlanta, featuring CVI Trustee member Dr. Michael Roach, Dr. Steve Hamilton, Dr. Scott Pastor and Robin Delmer.  (Click here to see a portion of their performance.)

The "True Blue Do" is CVI's primary fundraising event. Co-chaired by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Mabon and Mr. and Mrs. John T. Rhett III, and emceed by WSB-Channel 2 News Anchor Jovita Moore, this festive event drew a crowd of 335 patrons and supporters.
