Presented at your facility by the Center for the Visually Impaired


Sessions 1, 2 & 3: Home Office Organization Skills

Let us introduce you to tools such as large print address books and calendars. Tips on writing your signature, correspondence and bills. Guidance with telephone skills and time-telling.

Session 4: Using your Money

Explore new ways to identify your money and use it safely; tips on maintaining your checking account.

Session 5: Medication Management

Learn to manage and identify medication and simplify your daily hygiene routine.

Session 6: Cooking & Dining

Discover how to make dining a pleasure and personally satisfying.

Session 7: Home Management

Learn about helpful kitchen safety devices and how to easily identify items in your pantry and freezer. Tips also provided on clothing identification, needle threading, thermostat operation and using the washer/dryer.

Session 8: Leisure & Exercise

Get more enjoyment from your leisure activities. Learn about community resources and free access to audio books and other media. Make your cards, board games and crafts more accessible
